As you continue in your running life, your running will improve. The general thought is that we all have 7 years of natural progression. This means that as long as we run, with some kind of consistency, we should see improvement. This will occur naturally, over the first 7 years. That’s not to say it won’t take hard work. But after the first 7 years it will take a lot more work just to make small improvements. A few seconds off a personal record will mean more than a few minutes does at the beginning.
In order to make running feel easier and get faster, we can all do things to help. The most important thing is to avoid injuries as much as possible. Now we will all experience some injuries, unless you are extremely lucky. But by looking after our bodies, we can do a lot to make the injuries fewer and farther between. We can also make recovery that much quicker as well.
